PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This is a Pan-African Memorial Centre with a very illustrious historical importance. W.E.B. Dubois was an African-American Pan-Africanist who came to Ghana on the blessings of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. He was buried at a place where he lived and did his works I Cantonment-Accra. His Library and Tomb house have become very significant tourist Centres in Accra and in Ghana.
Cost For Rehabilitation:
The cost for rehabilitation was undertaken by ZAKNAP to enable restoration and rehabilitation works to be carried out on time to meet the period for the “Year of Return” in 2018.
The areas covered under the cost estimates were:
a). W.E.B. Dubois residence and library
b). W.E.B. Dubois Tomb and Tomb House
c). The Administration building
d). The Conference Halls, and
e). The Landscape and Plumbing and Drainage systems.
As usual, we did not fail in carrying out our obligation on time and as required.
