PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Prepare an assessment for the Hollow Glass Unit and Support Equipment buildings.
INTRODUCTION:
The Introduction of this Exercise starts with its Objectives, thus:
- To determine the damage and cost of rehabilitating all Equipment and Building Infrastructure of the old Glass Factory.
- Also to allow stakeholders to decide how economically viable it would be to resuscitate the factory.
- Recommendations from Project Engineers and Taking Work Scope from Engineers’ Briefs & Reports.
ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY
ADOPTING FIRST PRINCIPLES (In-Formal Qualitative Methods)
- Visual Observation of damaged Equipment
- Feeling and scrubbing off rust on structures & Equipment.
- Recommendations from Project Engineers and Taking Work Scope from Engineers’ Briefs & Reports.
VALUATION & COSTING METHODOLOGY
MICROSOFT EXCEL SOFTWARE
- Using Direct On-site “Take-Off” (measurements)
- Using Manufacturers’ Website Price Survey
- Adapting Historical Price Data of Past Works.
- Using Standard Price Data.
- Using Current Consumer Price Index
